YES, we are offering TWO FULL SCHOLARSHIPS for Collegiate Taiko Players!! These will include everything (registration, accommodations, food, the reception – even the T-SHIRT!)
All you need to do is get yourself there!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Although we would love to help ANYONE needing financial support, these scholarships are only available for those who meet the following criteria:
- You must be a current member of a collegiate taiko group
- You must be over 18 years old (for the dorm stay, per a rule of UMD)
- You must be RETURNING to your collegiate group to share your experience (sorry seniors…!)
HOW DO I APPLY?
Who needs to fill out more forms? Make a video of between 3-5 minutes in length. The goal of your video is to let us know a little something about yourself and why you would like to attend CONNECT 2022. What do you hope to learn or gain by attending CONNECT 2022?
When your video is done, upload it to the cloud storage of your choice (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc) or as an unlisted (not private!) YouTube video. Please be sure you set permission to “anyone with the link can view.”
Email the link to markh@markhrooney.com NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, MAY 19th, 11:59 PM EDT!
SOME DETAILS:
- Your video can be as simple as you talking to the camera, or can include images, slides, music, etc if you prefer. Just remember: it’s the thought that counts here, not the production value, so don’t stress about the razzle-dazzle!
- Do not go over the time limit! This means that you will want to plan, rehearse, use a timer, or even all of the above!
We will review the applications and inform the recipients by Friday, May 27th.
