CONNECT 2025 is all about the camaraderie and shared experience, so housing and meals are an important part of the conference!
Hotels and restaurants in DC aren’t cheap, and we don’t want you to waste a bunch of time sitting in traffic when you could be hanging with your fellow taiko players! So we’ve arranged on-campus meals and housing for you.
Housing
We’ve reserved an on-campus block of suite-based accommodations.

Millennium North Hall
Our residence hall is located at The Catholic University of America. The address for those driving to campus is:
3820 John McCormack Rd NE, Washington, DC 20064
Oh so suite!
Each room has a mini-fridge and includes an XL twin bed, bureau, wardrobe, desk, and chair for each participant. Linens are provided (pillow, pillowcase, sheets, blanket, and towel).
Each suite includes a shared bathroom as well as living room furniture (to facilitate hang-out time with your suitemates!). On-site laundry is available.
You’ll get an electronically-coded card to access the building and a key for your room when you check in.
All conference participants who plan to stay in on-campus accommodations must be at least 18 years of age.

The residence hall is about a 10-minute walk from Caldwell Hall, where our workshops will be held, and about a 4-minute walk to Garvey Dining Hall where we’ll eat breakfast and dinner each day.
Walking Directions
Food
We know that the conversation about taiko keeps flowing even after a workshop comes to an end!

Garvey Dining Hall
Don’t get lost on your way to breakfast!
The address for Garvey Dining Hall is:
602 Thea Bowman Dr, Washington, DC 20064
Food = Taiko Fuel!
Taiko people are some of the best people we know, and nothing makes us happier than to sit around and talk about taiko (and life in general!). So we’ve arranged for all our participants to eat lunch and dinner together on Saturday and Sunday.
Even if you’re registered as a commuter, the cost of those four meals is included in your registration. When you check in, you’ll get a prepaid meal card that will cover your meals. When it’s time to eat, just join the CONNECT crew as we walk over to the dining hall.
If you’re staying in the dorms, breakfast is also included. You don’t have to worry about anything!

Garvey Dining Hall is about a 4-minute walk from our on-campus accommodations in Millennium North and about a 6-minute walk from Caldwell Hall, where our workshops will be.
