Anyone else having a hard time believing that October is almost upon us? The weather is still hot and summery here in D.C., but Pumpkin Spice is everywhere, so fall must surely be on its way!
If you’re looking to get your taiko on this fall, you can…
Check out a couple of upcoming performances! See Miyako Taiko and the current Rec Class perform at the Reston Multicultural Festival on Saturday, September 24. (We’re on the Global Stage at 2:30 pm.) The following Saturday, October 1, Miyako Taiko will be performing at noon at the Baltimore Rhythm Festival.
Come to our next Introductory Taiko Workshop! It’s coming up soon: Sunday, October 2 at 5:00 pm. You can get all the info you need to register right here.
If you already have some taiko experience, the next session of our Adult Recreational Taiko Class kicks off on Sunday, October 16. We’re excited to announce that this session will conclude with a recital that will feature some creative work from all membersĀ of the Mark H Taiko family, so have your friends and family mark their calendars to join us on Sunday evening, December 11!
We’re also super-excited to announce that Mark is bringing back the Advanced Skills Class for those who are looking to level up their taiko mojo. The class begins on Wednesday, October 26 with some work on naname-uchi!
See you this fall (without or without your Pumpkin Spice Latte)!
