Spring Recreational Taiko Class

Want to join the Spring Recreational Taiko Class? Be sure to sign up for the next Introductory Taiko Workshop on April 22nd!


Prerequisite:
one of Mark’s Introductory Taiko workshops or previous Taiko experience. If you do not have previous experience, please contact Mark H  to possibly arrange a private lesson for orientation.

If it is fewer than 3 days before the first class, we recommend you call HMT before you register.

Register early — classes can often fill up!
We ask for payment information with your registration — either a credit card number or check — which is processed shortly before the first class. This holds your space and helps us guarantee attendance to the instructor.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us during Cherry Blossom season! Our fifth annual Sakura Taiko Fest was a great success and we’re so glad to see this gathering of east coast taiko players get bigger and better every year.

We’re filled with energy from sakura season and from our fantastic Intro Workshop last week, which is good because we have lots of great stuff coming up this spring and summer. Our Adult Rec Class and Advanced Skills Class are  kicking off this week, and both will be performing at our next Mark H Taiko recital on Sunday, June 25 at 7:00 pm.

Mark also has a lot of fun performances coming up in the next couple of months.

Our winter 2017 taiko classes kick off NEXT WEEK!

No matter how much you enjoyed the holidays, we know everyone is ready to get back to taiko class!

If you’re ready to up your taiko game, sign up for this session’s Advanced Skills Class, which will focus on honing those odaiko skills! The class begins on Wednesday, January 25, so start those push-ups now and get your arm muscles ready to go! (Please note that some odaiko experience is required to register for this class. Not sure if the class is right for you? Contact Mark H!)

Also, the Recreational Taiko Class begins on Sunday, 29 January. If you’re new to taiko, be sure you sign up for this Sunday’s Introductory Taiko Workshop so that you are ready for the Rec Class!
