Sakura Taiko Takeover at the Tidal Basin!

Join us for a full day of taiko among the cherry blossoms!

In 2013, Mark H Taiko was proud to host our very first Sakura Taiko Fest. We started small (just a few groups and our friends gathered in a dance studio!) but our event has grown, with more taiko groups and a bigger audience each year. For 2018, we are thrilled to announce that we’re taking over the ANA performance stage at the Tidal Basin for a full day of taiko during the opening weekend of the National Cherry Blossom Festival!

This is going to be an amazing day of taiko. We’ll have performances from NINE different groups! You’ll see local favorites – Nen Daiko, Kizuna, Miyako Taiko, and students from the Mark H Taiko School. And we’re proud to host awesome groups from up and down the East Coast! There will be two groups from PA – Pittsburgh Taiko and Kyo Daiko  – two from Boston – Odaiko New England and The Genki Spark – and one from NC – Triangle Taiko!
