Who’s ready for some taiko?
Spring is here! That means the weather is warming up, the flowers are starting to bloom, and we can enjoy those longer evenings outdoors. It also means that we’re back at Glen Echo Park, ready to hit the big drums, and we want YOU to join us! We have TWO Introductory Taiko Workshops coming up, so if you (or someone you know) has been wanting to try taiko for the first time, this is a great chance to jump in and do it!
These workshops are designed to introduce the basics of taiko technique, practice of kumidaiko (ensemble drumming), awareness of ki (energy), use of koe (voice), history and philosophy — all while having a good time! No experience necessary, but come ready for a workout!
Because space in our outdoor workshops is extremely limited, they are going to fill up quickly. So check your calendars and click on one of the buttons below to get all the info and complete your registration.

Sunday, March 28 -or- Sunday, April 4
We look forward to seeing you! We have reserved a great outdoor space in the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park where we can play together safely. Before you register for one of these workshops, please look carefully over our outdoor workshop policies so you know all the protocols we are taking for the safety and comfort of your fellow taiko players (and your instructor!).
